Architectural Projects

  • 1 - Meeting with the client

At our first meeting, the Client should provide all relevant information before the beginning of the Architectural project, namely: Project brief and general characteristics and desires; Data on the location and topographic and cartographic elements, at convenient scales; Cost restrictions; General indication of the deadlines for the project and completion; Definition and delimitation of the project brief.

  • 2 - Site visit

A site visit should be organised to better evaluate the characteristics and conditions of the land or building. Architectural survey of the existing building may be required.

  • 3 - Design study

Based on the information collected, the design study of the project is elaborated. The aim is to graphically present to the client solutions to organise the spaces, layouts and circulation schemes for the building. (*except simple legalisation projects)

  • 4 - Development of the Architectural Project

After approval of the design study, the development of the architectural project begins, in preparation for the planning submission. (for interior refurbishments outside heritage or listed urban areas and without structural changes, these drawings are intended to inform the technical design stage.)

  • 5 - Preparation of Technical Design

After obtaining planning consent for the architectural project, the technical design stage is developed, as a coordinated set of written and drawn information (detailing the previous stage of the project) which is easily and unequivocally interpreted by the entities involved in the execution of the works on site. Includes Quantity Schedules with Cost Estimate and Specifications in order to facilitate the consultation phase of the contract.
