Description: The building where it was intended to intervene is a modest single storey house with a implantation area of about 55m2, located in an urban cluster initially of clandestine character but already legalized, and in the middle of the Ria Formosa Natural Park.

As the building is in an area of overlap of several plans – PDM, Ria Formosa Natural Park, Natura 2000 Park, POOC and polis program – it was decided to instruct a Request for Prior Information (PIP) in order to obtain accurate and binding information on the constraints of the work, namely alignments, cérceas, clearances and the volumetry allowed.

The expansion of the building to 2 floors above ground was studied, occupying the entire area of implantation of the small plot of land. It was intended, significantly altering the excessive compartmentalization of the existing space and maintaining the use of single-family housing, the construction of a new house of typology T1 with an interior courtyard and also a terrace over the Ria.
